NARS Main Gallery & Project Space

NARS Foundation is pleased to introduce Waves, an exhibition showcasing the works of artists working at the #201 building on 46th street in Sunset Park Brooklyn.

This exhibition takes direct inspiration from the book “The Waves” by Virginia Woolf where the characters are presented through soliloquies, and accompanied by poetic interludes describing coastal scenes. This exhibition, as much as Woolf’s “The Waves” presents the forms in which “multiple consciousnesses are woven together”.

Mostly using painting, sculpture and drawing, the voices of the artists are eloquent- they speak up about the social, and environmental state of the world; they speak about myth and reverie in a context of violence; and bring memories, stories and findings to question the meaning of our existence.
