Season IV, 2024 International Residency Artist Woojae Kim performs live. Open Rehearsal: I hear a silent dissonance is in collaboration with Rahul Nair as part of the Season IV 2024 Residency Exhibition Maybe–map(ping) disonance
The performances take place on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 6PM and Friday, December 6, 2024 at 7 PM for the closing reception. Woojae Kim has made artisanal percussion instruments (handmade drums, modified cymbals, and gongs) that borrow from traditional Korean music. His work examines the parallels between cognitive dissonance - musical dissonance and emotional resonance - sonic resonance.Woojae Kim and Rahul Nair have been practicing and experimenting during the NARS Foundation International Residency program.
