Kids and their caretakers will join NARS Foundation residency artist Io Makandal in our Scribble Lesson Free Family. Scribble Lesson explores and pushes the boundaries of calligraphy in art. This course will provide participants with an understanding of styles, techniques, and ways of using calligraphy outside of the conventional writing function.
The NARS Foundation invited exhibiting and teaching artist Elizabeth Velazquez to lead a workshop inspired by her collected object spill sculptures. Elizabeth is a teaching artist with several non-profit organizations throughout Manhattan and the Bronx.

Join us for our first family workshop of 2016 as we reflect on WHAT A CITY CAN BE. During the tour of our current exhibition 'Threaded Archetypes' explore the idea od community through the eyes of local artists. Teaching artist Yana Dimitrova will then lead us in imagining and building our own cityscape!
