Tamar Nissim artistic practice diverse in the fields of video, photography, performance, and working within communities. It reflects her interest as multi-disciplinary artist in women's personal and collective memories, and their ethic perspective. Nissim's artistic process is based on historical research that combines academic and archival research; interviews; personal texts; manuscripts; drawings; historical photography; and periodical films. The visual and textual research methods are a starting point for video, installation and performance works that amplify the voices of women that opposed the dominant ideology of their time. In her artwork she reveals the methods used by the hegemony, to dominate women, and persuade them to be agents of the dominated ideology within the domestic and public sphere.
