Artist Biography

Brazilian and Belgian, presently based in Sao Paulo, Sandra Lapage concluded her MFA in Studio Arts at the Maine College of Art in 2013. She has exhibited in solo and group shows in Brazil, Europe and the United States, notedly at the Brazilian Embassy in Brussels in 2007, at the Centro Cultural Sao Paulo in 2012, and at the Brazilian Consulate in NYC in 2014. After spending a year between residencies in Switzerland and in New York, she feels like a nomadic artist in search for the ideal city; the ideal studio will bring her close to other artists and to a meaningful community. The ideal city is wherever she meets the right people.
