Artist Biography

Magali Duzant is a New York based artist and producer. Working with time-based processes she incorporates photography, video, and text to examine the role of technology as a mediator of our experiences as well as a 21st century desire to track, record, and analyze our daily lives and surroundings. She is a recipient of a 2015 Queens Council on the Arts grant for her project Live Streaming Sunset. In 2015 she will hold residencies at the Brooklyn-based NARS Foundation and Parramatta Studios in Sydney, Australia. Recent exhibitions include Lift Off curated by Elisabeth Biondi at Fridman Gallery in NYC, Salon at NY based ( harbor ), Ein Prozess in Augsburg, Germany, Re:Cinema at the Sydney College of Art, and an upcoming exhibition, Unbound, at Sawtooth ARI in Tasmania. She holds an MFA in Photography from Parsons The New School for Design and a BHA in Fine Arts and Visual Culture from Carnegie Mellon University.
