Artist Statement/ Biography

Liliya Lifanova's work is about the struggle for abstraction.

After a period of unavoidable and essential nostalgia that allowed Liliya to see her own 'origin', she is now interested in non-space, non-identity, and in the persistence of patterns, variants, and symmetries.

The propositions presented by the Existentialist movement and Zen Buddhism 'speak to her condition'.
