Artist Statement/ Biography

Kristine White is a multidisciplinary artist who works across the mediums of shadow, light, puppetry, live performance and digital media. Her work is always collaborative, and has been created in relationship with musicians, dancers, theatre-makers, academics, activists, and the more-than-human world.

I am a multidisciplinary artist who works in live performance and installation to create visually intricate worlds via light, shadow, papercut, and sculptural elements. I am interested in live performance and time-based work as a reflective practice, and I aim to create work that engages the audience in critical thinking, reflection, and/or engagement with themes of accessibility, queerness, public/private paradigms, and community/communalism. < BACK
