2016 Season I

Artist Statement

The work overlaps photography, collage and installation. There are everyday images to explore the possibilities of compositions, creating situations to speculate visual experience. Talking about light using the light itself as the evidence, it is transformed in the subject matter. That scrutinizes the poetry hidden in quotidian situations unfolds through visual experiments, occupying the current space. It brings other nuances and thoughts to the relationship between viewer, space and image.

The mean of these experiments is to emphasize elemental properties of imagery. It is like an exercise for the visual perception skills; to be in contact with what is fundamental for the look?

Understanding imagery should be important for the use of such material, where images tend to be made and increasingly remade, recontextualised and remixed.

The attempt of a cleaner visual state should be a question that stills resounds in a world surrounded by image saturation.
