Please join us for an artist talk & exhibition catalogue launch with Nicki Cherry in conversation with Dominika Tylcz.
May 17, at 6:30pm
in the NARS Project Space.
Nicki Cherry will discuss their solo exhibition Doctrine of Signatures, in conversation with Dominika Tylcz. This will also be the launch of the exhibition catalogue with texts by Tung Chau & Dominika Tylcz.
The doctrine of signatures is the theory that plants hold medical properties to heal that which they bear resemblance. Brain-like walnuts cure headaches; plants that look like scorpions are an anecdote to the arachnid’s sting. Signatures are a mark that breaks the surface to reveal its holder’s hidden interior.
