2014 Season III, 2014 Season IV

Artist Statement/ Biography

Carlos Pileggi's work contemplates notions of the everyday, the struggle for success, and what becomes valuable in life.

The daily bombardment of information leads him to draw profusely. He translates this overwhelming amount of information into works that show a rugged visual language resonate with the aesthetics explored by punk fanzines. By appropriating this visual language, and the fanzine DIY marginal network, Carlos pushes his body of work outside the art space.

It is in the now that he finds inspiration.
