Artist Biography
Ann Oren’s work has been shown internationally in France, Germany, Spain, UK, Denmark, Ireland, South Korea, Brazil, Poland, Hungary, Russia, and Israel. Venues include the MediaLab Prado (Madrid), the Hammer Museum (Los Angeles), the Rochester Contemporary Art Center, Les Salaisons (Paris), The Tel-Aviv Cinematheque, and the Tel-Aviv Museum (Israel). In New York, Ann has presented work at Apex Art, PS 122 Gallery, Cindy Rucker Gallery, and Anthology Film Archives, among others.
Ann’s work was recognized with the New Artist Award at the NeMaf Seoul International NewMedia Festival, the Special Jury Award at The Social Media Film Festival, a Nars Foundation Fellowship, and a Spiro Arts Fellowship. She has attended residencies at GlogauAir (Berlin), HomeBase Build V (Berlin), NES Residency Skagastrond (Iceland), I-Park (Connecticut) and Künstlerhaus Bethanien (Berlin - upcoming). Ann earned her BFA and MFA from The School of Visual Arts in NY and also attended the Skowhegan School of Art. Born in Tel Aviv, she lives and works in Brooklyn.
